Just today I saw Obama is suggesting "loans" to the unemployed to cover their mortgages. They are seeing the price of something they want fall in price. That is more than offsetting the rise in the price of gasoline.

That said, I think a homeowner who has watched the price of his/her house fall has definitely seen a decline in the standard of living. That's especially true if that person is also part of the 9% unemployed and was planning to use home equity to fund future purchases.Stagflationary Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04568993350246477976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515247115132134144.post-82951971716741496142011-04-03T09:47:09.872-07:002011-04-03T09:47:09.872-07:00Wage inflation in China though...up another 20% in...Wage inflation in China though...up another 20% in Shenzhen soon.

http://www.business-in-asia.com/china/workers_wage_ch2011.html

Wages inland soared too, so the idea that everyone could just move inland for cheaper wages disappeared.

Red AAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515247115132134144.post-63348989772329351082011-04-03T02:14:36.174-07:002011-04-03T02:14:36.174-07:00Wither wages???

It was that the prices I did see looked even cheaper relative to the commodities I've been charting recently.

As a side note, I even bought some Hershey bars.
