The 45% spread between bulls and bears today stands in stark contrast to the -20% spread six years ago. The strongest gains in equity markets are built on a wall of worry and there is no such wall to speak of anymore.

ReplyDeletewhat Hitler and the OKH staff saw in E Prussia and what was actually on the ground were two different things!

is the staff map for the day before the Russian attack, with the 14th and 21st Panzer Divisions properly placed to stop the expected strike.
Problem being a Panzer Division of late 1942 was not the same thing as the Panzer Divisions of 1940 and 41 that conquered all in front of them!
(1. Pz on the map was the Hungarian tank division)
But as for our economy, I think demographically we're pretty solid now, with our big-bearded and tattoed Gen Y cohort smoothly taking over for the boomer parents. This is good!
