From your Cisco post I remeber that day way back in 2000 when CEO Chambers had some not so great comments and not a month later the biggest stck bust ever commenced. I had no idea at the time what any of it meant.
The protein encoded by this gene is an enzyme which belongs to the subtilisin-like proprotein convertase family. This encoded protein is a calcium-dependent serine endoprotease that can efficiently cleave precursor proteins at their paired basic amino acid processing sites.
Holy crap! I bet we could bundle those into SIVs (structured investment vehicles) and sell them to the public at ungodly prices! What's in them? Who knows! What do they do? Who knows! Are they rare? Who cares! Are they collectible? YES!!! Can they be hoarded? YOU BETCHA!!
