Real Men Scoff at Real Earnings

It's been a rough decade. Care to guess when the median inflation adjusted earnings of men peaked?

Try 1973. I circled it in red on the chart.

  3. Jazzbumpa,

    From your link:

The vertical line on this graph indicates an inflection point of 1973.  You could perhaps move it out to the next bump, if you squint, but not much further.  Irrespective of that detail, what this means, simply, is that the already wealthy have captured more of the pie since the break point.

    Same song indeed!

  6. In Hell's Kitchen (NYC),

I'd like to comment on the chart you found.

    Tapeworm infection

Tapeworms of the genus Echinococcus infect and cause the most harm to intermediate hosts such as sheep and cattle.

D'oh! I managed to stray way off topic. Sorry about that! I have no idea what got into me. ;)

In all seriousness, our economy feels like it is trying to revert back to the Dark Ages (albeit one with a 45 million person food stamp program).
