  3. I've recently experienced Chinese chemical prices at approximately 25% what there were a year ago. In some cases, packaged prices are less than what I can buy the empty package for here in the States. Is there a way you can show this graphically?

    1. Thank you. Definitely lagging. The end point should be <105 at this point in time. Massive dumping going on now.

After the fact, I questioned how I crafted the question. I thought that for sure I inadvertently opened the door for you to have drawn a graph in sarcasm.

  5. If you want “empty package” commentary, then you should read what I wrote here:

    https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3020381/buyer-beware-furious-tree-games

80% of my order was missing. There was 700 times more packing material than actual product. I kid you not! That’s gotta be close to a world record!! They don’t call themselves Furious Tree Games for nothing, apparently! ;)

    1. My heart agrees with you, but the reality is that the quality is very good and prices are half. If you don't your competitor will. It's a trap. The Chinese are trying to destroy the market, and they are patient. Otherwise, why would you leave so much money on the table? They could easily be 10% lower and have an impact. Less than half shows intent.

  7. I tried not buy anything Chinese-made for a while. You should give it a try. It is near impossible. Almost everything (except most food fortunately) is made in China. In many cases you just can’t find a non-Chinese made item.

  8. Almost everything (except most food fortunately)…

Chinese food and fortunately? How am I supposed to resist that? ;)

    As seen in the Internet:

The fortune cookie I got with my chinese food today was weird...

It said, ”FREE ME FROM THIS FACTORY
    Lucky Numbers 23.5° N, 121.0° E”

  9. Stocks were looking good first of December, now it looks like those hopes have faded.

SVB into receivership, FDIC says 175B on deposit with 150B uninsured! Those folks will get zero, six out of every seven of their dollars are likely gone.

  14. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the TIPS yields aren’t bad at all right now, for those who would buy and hold to maturity.
