Bookshops have found trading tough as readers shun high-street stores in favour of buying online or purchasing digital books for handheld readers such as Amazon's Kindle or Apple's iPad.

Nice play on words!
I admit it, I buy maybe 95% of everything on Amazon. Easy to use, and the shipping is like instant! No position in the stock but I heart Amazon.
Home a bit late, the wife surprised me with Ruths Chris reservations this evening for Valentines day a bit early. Good stuff.
GYSC,
We're going to see "True Grit" tomorrow if all goes well. Nothing but the best "chick flick" for my girlfriend, lol.
For the record, it was her idea. I'm simply funding it! :)
Yes, well, there was this story on Drudge about Amazon shutting down its distribution center in Texas and moving out of the state, because the state comptroller claimed the company owed $269 million is sales taxes.
Then the governor came out and said the comptroller was misapplying the law, as Amazon only had a warehouse and not a storefront business in Texas.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
You need to see the first True Grit, Pilgrim--by the way Glen Campbell gets killed in it so what could be better :).
GawainsGhost,
Perhaps Amazon could team up with the government and place their warehouse in Area 51!
Anonymous,
The first True Grit? Never heard of it. I was probably too busy watching Rooster Cogburn. ;)
