Here’s proof that the rising dollar is good for stocks
The soaring U.S. dollar may well sound the death knell for commodities, but it's actually a bullish sign for stocks. At least, that's what the chart work of Oppenheimer head of technical analysis Ari Wald suggests.
Since when did technical analysis, signs, and suggestions constitute a proof? And how did such a feeble "proof" make it onto CNBC in the first place? No math majors in the building? It's not even stated as beyond a reasonable doubt. No, sir. It's proof! Pure and simple! No point even debating it.
Crock of @#$% reports, for when sarcasm reports can't quite convey the full intent properly.

You do not have proof that suggestions stated as proofs are a pet peeve of mine, any more than you have proof that opinions stated as facts are a pet peeve of mine.
That said, I will tell you that I do have at least two pet peeves. Many could probably successfully deduce what two of them might be. Wouldn't even take a Sherlock Holmes.
Further, a truly clever person might be able to determine a correlation between the severity of a possible pet peeve trigger in the financial news and the vulgarity (@#$%) of my response.
Forehead. Desk. Whack! Whack! Whack!
@#$%! That really hurt! %^*# *%^#ing $&^#ers! ;)
Mark,
You have not been drinking your kool-aid. Medication time boys.
Many could probably successfully deduce what two of them might be.
The first one is easy - cowbells!
The second one is a toughie but I'll venture "Doubting Thomas's".
Hey, the proof is in the pudding!

Proof grows that female executives bring bigger profits
@#$%!! Proof cannot grow any more than truth can grow! Proof is proof. It's the evidence that can grow!
Evidence is growing that gender equity is not just politically correct window-dressing, but good business.
Oh, man. Dodged a #%*ing bullet on that quote. My forehead can't take much more pounding against my desk today.
Why is this important? I don't want to find myself as a defendent someday, falsely accused, with a jury full of people thinking astrological signs and suggestions are growing the proof. Just thinking about it makes me want to smash my forehead against my desk again.
Is March 23rd a national Trigger Mark's Biggest Pet Peeves Day? If so, there's a lot of day left.
If I was a heavy drinking man, might consider turning to the proof in Everclear to ease the pain of the desk, lol. Sigh. ;)
The fact that Cramer and CNBC not only still exist but are widely watched must be proof of something!
Michael and mab,
Hmmm. Everclear flavored Kool-Aid and more cowbells? OMG! If that prescription can't cure me then nothing can! Here goes nothing! Down the hatch!
I'm not a religious person but suddenly the Cult of Suggested Proofs is guiding me to what is sure to be a better life!
First, I must give all my worldly possessions to the top trader at Goldman Sachs, a little bit at a time through gut based trading hunches.
Only then can I achieve absolute meekness, and I shall absolutely inherit the earth!! Meekness anti-corrupts, so absolute meekness MUST anti-corrupt absolutely! What more proof do I need?
mab,
The fact that Cramer and CNBC not only still exist but are widely watched must be proof of something!
They are even more popular than Idiocracy, which also must be proof of something!
Now we just need to figure out what that something is. Perhaps Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne could provide some insight, lol. Sigh.
First, I must give all my worldly possessions to the top trader at Goldman Sachs, a little bit at a time through gut based trading hunches.
I'm thinking you can achieve Nirvana much faster by following Cramer's trading advice in lieu of gut based trading hunches.
It's your decision though. For some people it's all about the journey. For others it's the destination. Either way, Goldman is going to (p)own your stuff.
Booyah!
mab,
I the comic books, I think Cramer would make a good emesis in his mad scientist money lair. Oops. I meant Nemesis. Freudian slip.
(I knew there had to be medical term for that action but was pleasantly surprised to see what it was. Emesis! Hahaha! :))
Speaking of emesis, here's a good one: political "science". Poly-sci! That's always bugged me.
How about obtaining "facts" and "confessions" through torture.
And then we have Stalinist show trials. We can get all the "proof" we need with those.
And then there's "sworn" testimony:

mab,
I watched your first video. I think if I watch the next two I really will emesis. The corruption is just so depressing. I can't even come up with any gallows hunor to pull me back out. You know, as a release.
The corruption is just so depressing. I can't even come up with any gallows hunor to pull me back out.
I assumed you knew about that. I was just bringing it up as a blast from the past type of thing. My bad. I feel like I tricked you into taking the red pill instead of the blue pill.
Anyway, the important thing is that the vast majority don't and won't ever know. That's what our "free" and "independent" press is for.
Orwell was an optimist!
mab,
I did indeed miss that one.
If Watergate happened today it would no doubt be swamped by the plethora of "10 Things You Didn't Know" articles, which seems to pass for journalism most days.
Who even needs propaganda when there is so much noise? Who am I kidding? Of course we need propaganda! The noise is just s bonus!
Calling it propaganda seems rather kind. Outright and purposeful lying imo. With an institutional cover-up - a private/public partnership! Scary, no?
Too often things are never as they seem.
Here's an interesting take from an admitted and well known propagandist:
"Good propaganda does not need to lie, indeed it may not lie. It has no reason to fear the truth. It is a mistake to believe that people cannot take the truth. They can. It is only a matter of presenting the truth to people in a way that they will be able to understand. A propaganda that lies proves that it has a bad cause. It cannot be successful in the long run." - Joseph Goebels.
The long run appears to be a very long time!!!
mab,
Common criminal: 30 years to life
Political criminal: 30 years to lie
What a difference an "f" makes.
What a difference an "f" makes.
When I was growing up there was this horrible intersection. It wasn't that busy, but it was treacherous. It had a house and a stone retaining wall right at the edge of the road.
It was terrifying inching up on a bicycle to see if cars were coming. In a car it was even more scary.
One day two friends of mine had a nasty accident at that intersection. The driver asked if it was okay to go. The passenger said "whoa" and the driver thought he said "go". T-bone!
Small difference, big difference!
Big difference!!! ;)
My girlfriend said earlier that she let the dogs out and they Randolph.
Let's chalk that one up to sleep deprivation, lol.
They didn't Randolph far though, because our backyard is fully fenced. :)
