Teachers ordered to falsify tests and the superiors who demanded it, amid desperation to save schools from destruction, deserve no mercy from the court. Bankers who ran a criminal enterprise to engage in the largest consumer and investing fraud in world history deserve our thanks.

The two GSEs, AIG, Fitch, S&P, Moody's, Wall Street in general -- politicians can't go after the truly powerful, because one third of this country is functionally insane and another third utterly ignorant and happy to remain so, the last third that has their head in the game can see they're powerless given their minority status.

This is the sort of thing that makes people become more cynical as they age. Thanks to the massive accounting fraud at my former company, I got off to an early start. Sigh.
That journalist was overly harsh on the system. I think justice was served.
Seriously. A "thorough" and "exhaustive" investigation into the mortgage industry revealed it was a conspiracy. A conspiracy of one! And that one person was convicted.
Selective justice? Not even close.
Cynical? There has to be a better word. Cynical just doesn't do it "justice".

Yeah, I've seen this comparison on a few other sites now.
It's so unfortunately true too, but just how societies are organized with humans designed to worship bullshit spewing sociopaths.
Oh well, it's a nice day today. Going to spend it sorting some of the Portlandia wine I brought back.
