Crude futures struggle to hold above $115 a barrel
"It is obvious that oil is focusing on things much more complex than simple supply and demand and is looking on the larger issue on the state of the economy," said Phil Flynn, a vice president at Alaron Trading, in a note to clients.
Oil has moved well past sentience. It is now all knowing on even the most complex topics and it is watching you.
Deities & Demigods
The current edition of Deities & Demigods discusses in detail how one would go about the creation of their own pantheon, as well as individual gods, for use in Dungeons & Dragons.
It is time for oil to have its own entry in the book. I beseech thee!

Stag,
An oil thought. While watching the RNC convention tonight, a Boone Pickens commercial warned that we were witnessing the largest transfer of wealth in history (American $ for foreign oil). A potentially scary thought for some. Although to me, it's not clear yet which way the wealth is flowing. Maybe it's best if no wealth is being tranfered and it's a just a fair trade.
One more thought, Sarah Palin looks like the perfect Republican antidote to Hillary. BTW, I don't like either party. I'll likely write in a vote for Ron Paul or Jesse "the mind" Ventura. Though I'm still considering "Drinking with Bob."
MAB,
BTW, I don't like either party. I'll likely write in a vote for Ron Paul or Jesse "the mind" Ventura. Though I'm still considering "Drinking with Bob."
I'm considering writing in a Great Old One. No, not McCain.
"M'Nagalah the Eternal" (The All Consuming) seems good since our economy is so reliant on consumerism.
He Who is Not to be Named is also looking like a lesser evil to me, but I'm not quite sure how to actually vote for him. His name is Unspeakable after all.
Then there is Baoht Z'uqqa-Mogg (The Bringer of Pestilence). On a relative scale, that might be a welcome improvement to what we currently have. Just a thought.
Of course, there's also something to be said for picking a president based solely on appearance. "Zushakon" appears as a swirling, black vortex. I suspect that would be somewhat hypnotic and help take our minds off the horrible economy and/or the never ending war in the name of peace.
As a side note, I'm hoping "Othuum" eventually becomes Fed Chairman. He's the Deep Slumberer in Green and the Great Master of Those-Who-Wait-Without. He'd be perfect for the job I think.

This guy has all the right (and left) qualifications.
MAB,
As a character, Zaphod is hedonistic and irresponsible, self-centered almost to the point of solipsism, and often extremely insensitive to the feelings of those around him.

"What I'm hearing which is sort of scary is that they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this (chuckle) – this is working very well for them." –Former First Lady Barbara Bush, on the hurricane evacuees at the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 5, 2005
"Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?" –House Majority Leader Tom Delay (R-TX), to three young hurricane evacuees from New Orleans at the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 9, 2005
