Even Rabbits Fly the Friendly Skies

April 26, 2017
United Airlines in new PR disaster after giant rabbit dies on UK flight

“We have been in contact with our customer and have offered assistance.”

What kind of assistance can you offer a dead bunny? It's way too late to voluntarily and forcibly re-accomodate it!

Which airline will win this year's coveted Serpents on a Plane award?

First Harambe and now Simon. When will it end?

How will it end?

I think we all know how this ends. No, not him! Give us Barabbas!

mab,

Funny you should say that. I just saved a ton of money by switching to Universal Atonement Health Care.

Yes, Jesus saves. Doctors, not so much:

She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. - Mark 5:26

Well, I also saved a ton of money by not buying into the fresh SHLD turnaround story last Friday. Down 24% since then.

The less I spend, the more I'm saved!

That was fake news. Very fake news!

I heard it from a friend, who heard it from a friend, that Eddie Lampert's turning Sears around.

I may have misunderstood though. This is the same friend who once told me that Eddie's ridin' the storm out, that he can't fight this feeling, and he's gonna keep on loving me as long as I stay fully invested in his decaying department stores.

Somewhere there's an alternate universe where Sears and Montgomery Ward are giants of e-commerce and Amazon was strangled in its crib, where Xerox dominates computing and Microsoft never existed. That would be the fantasyland where there is such a thing as visionary, competent corporate leadership. It might well be the most unlikely of all universes.

It will be interesting to see how long Apple can coast without Steve Jobs.

Who Struck John,

No mention of alternate universes would be complete without mentioning the merger of Enron and Arthur Andersen eventually leading to the landslide victory of Jeffrey Skilling as POTUS.
