The Greatness of Our Nation Is Being Judged

King County getting out of animal control business

“We can no longer afford to subsidize animal care and control,” Triplett said in a statement. He said it’s not a “core business” of King County to operate the shelter and animal control service for 32 cities in King County. He said talks have begun with the 32 cities and community animal welfare agencies to replace the county’s role in animal control.

I guess we already spent all the money subsidizing banks.

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Mahatma Gandhi

Oh crap. We suck.

Please excuse my language. Since I am not a religious person, it probably wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
- Matthew 21:12-13

Oh crap. We suck.
