Hey, at least there is some good news. Inbound traffic fell more than outbound traffic on a seasonally adjusted basis. That means that we may be closer to sustaining our unsustainable trade deficit.

Why Are Americans Avoiding Stocks? Ask a Shrink

Statman says it seems some people are looking to confirm a "doom and gloom" view of the U.S. economy.

I have to admit that once I see one "confirmed" exponential trend failure I do tend to look for others. I thought that was just a physics thing though.

Not to worry, CR says it's just a seasonal drop because of Chinese new year. Let the boom continue.

Maybe I need to see a shrink so I can go all in on stocks. After all, my income is dropping so there must be something wrong with me not to want to bet it all in stocks for the long run.

Maybe some friendly chap at Goldman Sachs can give this muppet a tip.

Mr Slippery,

The seasonal adjustment program shows that February does indeed have a drop in traffic each year.

Maybe it's just Murphy's Law of February Trade.

Trade in February will always drop twice as much as you think it will. If you try to factor this in, then it will drop 4x as much, lol. Sigh.

From the comments of the shrink article:

And this is exactly why it's time to build your portfolio. Buy when there's blood on the street. over time it will give you above average return. Sell when there's party on the street. BUY low SELL high, the only thing that make sense in the stock market. - Zhen Zhong

Because nothing says blood on the street like a stock market that has recently doubled and is coming off of a +2% day.

Forehead. Desk. Whack. Whack. Whack.

Troy,

What an awesome economy!

It is the 8 gifts for 3 gifts that just keeps on giving, lol.
