Rob Dawg,

SNL’s Sketch Pits iPhone 5 Factory Workers Problems Against The Tech Critics

Applegate asks the workers if they’d, in turn, like to complain about any American products. We won’t spoil the answer for you, but it’s a doozy.

Don't read what comes next if you don't want the spoiler.

We make diabetes apparently, lol. Sigh.

Yep! And then we create industries to treat the diabetes. It's all part of the virtuous cycle!

After a bit of searching for a new car, we now incline to spend some money on welding our old one. That's good news for the British economy, bad news for Japan, Korea, and Germany.

I just wish they'd break out the diabetes from our GDP so that I can dwell exclusively on our country's growth industry, lol. Sigh.

Gallows humor (literally).

dearieme,

What? You weren't going to buy one of our American cars? What if we shipped it to you for free!

For some strange reason, blogger thought your comment was SPAM. It would seem we're still a few years out from artificial intelligence taking over the world, lol.

An American car? What an exotic idea. People buy cars made by factories that are American-owned (European Ford, Opel, Vauxhall etc) but a car actually designed for the American market, and American-made? Bonkers!

dearieme,

Bonkers!

I was not clear. My bad.

We would like to ship you a car designed in Japan and assembled with Chinese parts by Americanized workers in Mexico for export to Europe!

We'll even give you a 90-day limited warranty if you buy today. If you experience any problems, simply return it in the included shipping box for a full refund (less restocking fees, shipping, processing, and handling). ;)
