Understatement of the Week

Sears Earnings Preview: Can SHLD Shock Wall Street?

The Sears stock opportunity is by no means a perfect investment.

For SHLD investors who have not been following its share price drama over the past week, do yourself a favor. Pretend I did not say a word. Retreat instead to your happy place. Chant Lampert is a retailer whiz kid. Rationalize that dwelling on daily price movements is not your style.

SHLD appears to have found its softer side.

Mr Slippery,

Which is ironic, since it's known for DieHard.

I don't wish to be a master Craftsman of puns, because I strive to not be a tool.

I should stop now and I would if it wasn't for Ken. More he says. Ken? "More!"

Why isn't "Shop Your Way" working? As we know from Princess Bride, "my way's not very sportsman-like".

half the move up this year was just the shorts piling on no doubt.

Troy,

Don't you mean piling out (short covering)? Over the past week, I'd say they are back to piling on though.

Reportedly, Eddie Lampert is going to announce some new and improved initiatives during the earnings ..... um losses conference call.

Definitely going to want to listen in. Should be a hoot! I'm all (s)ears. Searsiously!

Piling on? When it comes to Sears, that's definitely my style!

mab,

Lampert is still wrestling with the numbers, but I'm confident that his new and improved initiatives can pile drive some extra customer loyalty.
