Been There, Done That

The following chart shows the natural log of total business inventories. When using natural logs, constant exponential growth is seen as a straight line. I have added a long-term trend channel in red.

Here is the contrarian take:

"Last week was one of the busiest for dividend increases since the first quarter. There were 54 companies that announced a dividend increase. If we are in a recession, apparently corporate America has not gotten the memo yet."
