Editorial - Gas prices ease down and every little bit helps
Others believe that the growth we’ve seen so far is strong enough to withstand higher gasoline prices. Maybe. If job creation and other leading indicators don’t stagnate.
But for some people, higher gas prices mean cutting back on other household spending. They can mean paying more for groceries and other goods. And if consumers aren’t spending in a consumer-driven economy, eventually the wheels of progress slow.
