Bangladesh blogger Niloy Neel hacked to death in Dhaka

A Bangladeshi blogger known for his atheist views has been hacked to death by a gang armed with machetes in the capital Dhaka, police say.

Police said about six attackers had tricked their way into Mr Neel's home by saying they were looking to rent a flat.

Note to Self:

1. Cancel any and all travel plans to Bangladesh.
2. Never become a landlord.
3. Avoid fanatically religious nutcases.
4. Be extra suspicious of six or more men armed with machetes.
5. Never become a blogger, especially an agnostic one with seriously atheist tendencies.

Hold on. What was that 5th one again? D'oh!

Bangladesh is a pretty scary place economically, they live in a river delta so they can grow enough food to feed themselves, but that's about it.

They do seem to have something going gor them in the trade department. Just makes it scarier though.
